If you’re a devout yoga lover, you may or may not be aware of the beauty benefits yoga provides beyond strengthening your arms, legs, torso, and state of mind. There are exercises you can practice that are specifically meant to tone your face. It might sound silly, but face yoga is designed to increase blood flow and oxygen. It nourishes the face as well as stimulates more production of collagen and elastin deep within the layers of your skin. In less than 10 minutes (just like DERMAFLASH) these exercises will become an integral part of your beauty routine.

The Smile

Make an ‘O’ shape with your mouth, while covering your teeth fully with your lips curled in over them. Change the shape into a horizontal line (you can also think of this as smiling) while maintaining that the teeth are still covered. This simple exercise smooth’s cheek lines as well as skin that sags more than you’d like around the mouth.

The Brow

Raise your arms and touch your fingertips to the center of your forehead. Spread out your fingers evenly between your eyebrows and hairline at the top of your forehead. Sweep your fingers gently outwards while applying some pressure to tighten your skin as you do so. Relax and then continue to repeat for another 9 repetition. This action works to erase any wrinkles in the forehead.

The Eye

Place both middle fingers into the space between the innermost point of your eyebrow and inner corner of your eye. Creating a “V” shape, place your index finger on the outer most point of the eyebrows. As you press in with your fingers, look up to the sky while also raising your lower eyelids into a squint. After squinting, relax and repeat six times. Finally, squeeze your eyes tightly shut for a total of 10 seconds. This exercise corrects drooping eyelids, crow’s feet and puffiness.

The Neck

Place your fingertips at the base of your neck. Gently pull your fingers downwards as you move your head upward from looking forward to now looking upward towards the sky. Lower your head all the way down to your chest and repeat twice. Now stick out your lower lip as far as possible, pulling the corners of the mouth down as well. Again, pull down on the collarbone while lifting the head and hold for four deep breathes. This giraffe-like movement works to tighten any loose skin or lines on the neck as well as lift skin on the neck and jaw line.

The Cheeks

Tighten your lips together and act as if you are about to blow air into a balloon, puffing your cheeks out as far as they expand. Hold this position without letting air escape your lips for 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and release. Repeat this three times in order to decrease smile lines around the mouth.

The longer you continue to perform these facial exercises, the more you will notice those lines and wrinkles begin to decrease. If you don’t believe it, try it out and see how the results measure up. We think you will be more than pleased with the result of a healthy, renewed complexion.
