Behind every sucessful beauty routine is a balanced diet and fitness regimen. A few members of the DERMAFLASH team have shared their best wellness practices- read on!
Dara: “I lead a very healthy life. I believe in balance and moderation. I am incredibly busy but I find the time to jump on my treadmill and walk at least a couple of miles at least 4-5 days a week. I also do some sit-ups, planks and stretching. I used to be an avid yogi but have fallen off the wagon as of late. I still try to meditate at least a few times a week. As far as eating I believe in everything in moderation. I am a pescatarian and really try to avoid processed foods. I love fresh veggies and also drink green juices often. However, I am far from perfect! My achilles heel is bread and cheese. And don’t even get me started on wine and french fries. Life is too short not to eat what you love, but again balance is key.”
Jorie: “I maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing high intensity interval training with a trainer two times a week. Through working with my trainer, he is able to push me harder than I would be able to push myself. I always feel great afterwards! In between workouts I will do some sit ups and stretching. Working out gives me more energy during the day and makes me feel alive!”
Sam: “While yoga and the Barre method are my favorite forms of activity, I know running is a great form of cardo. I push myself to enter races as a way to decompress. Luckily my sister in law Lynsie is a great companion!”
